I had much respect for Irving Shillingford and he is a deserving candidate.
However if you had to just go on numbers you will have to favour DeSouza.
However Irving carried on his FC career where DeSouza did not.
Another one of my favourites, although a bit later was Parry.
Did you ever see DeSouza live?

Start one and I will be the first to contribute.
I was close to QPCC and still am to an extent so many of their players I was amongst, some more than others, as I grew up and before leaving.
So I have a greater affinity for Carew, Davis (Brian and Charlie), Durity, Faria, Murray, Bartholomew, Corneal, Julien, Uncle Willie, Inshan, Gomes brothers etc. You will remember in 69/70 Wes Hall played for Trinbago.
There was a guy later on called Harold Joseph who was the second of the mystery spinners. I really liked him.
So Irving was less of an interest but guys like Rowe, Austin, Chang, Bacchus, Baichan, Timur, Foster, Mathis (some of these guys different era).

all of these are not great players..a few very good indeed. but they were all loved by the Trinidad public. some were white, others mixed, some black some Indo...but all loved. you know that Mail....especially Carew.
Willie was loved but n a different way. he wasn't rated as much as Carew but he was respected. I personally on what I know of him and his work in cricket, consider Willie one of the finest men to have been associated with the west indian game
indeed we can start a thread about quite a few of them including Shillingford, Joey, Willie and the Davis Bros
