It has been a great ride for Shiv Chanderpaul in his chosen profession. He has performed with distinction and is now regarded as one of the outstanding cricketers who has played the game. Shiv has had many remarkable personal achievements but his greatest personal joy in cricket will be the experience of playing alongside his son Tage representing Guyana against Trinidad. It will be an historic occassion. Give praise to the Chanderpauls.

Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Tage has the talent--no doubt about that---but will Tage combine that talent with hard word and dedication ? Will he learn from his mistakes and failures ?

Tage's father knows what the formula for success is:

Practice + More Practice + Focus + Concentration = Success(10K+ runs/51+ avg)

Early success leads to false pride and ego---and nothing destroys good talent like false pride and ego---hope Tage keeps a straight head on his shoulder----he is from good genes---he'll likely do well.

Congrats. Great pride indeed...felt the same way batting with my son..

Tage needs to find his own way. He seems more attacking than Shiv but he needs the scores at this level to validate the hard work and dedication. it will come over time. he's from good stock.

Babu:

How old is your big son ? He must be a teenager. Damn! Time surely flies. He'll be off to one of the Ivy's in a few years---hope he gets a scholarhip----send him to Rutgers or one of the regular schools  if he doesn't get a scholarship to any of the IVY's

Any by the way, tell your boys Rev said their real education---SELF EDUCATION---begins after college.

What has he really done? , this is all hype on account of his famous father . There are more deserving players from Guyana that  were overlooked.  As of now he has failed but he would be given many chances over more deserving players

ramesh:

You seem to be harboring some bitterness against the Chanderpauls!

Do yourself a favor ramesh.

STOP THE HATING BAI.

It's bad for your heart and soul.
