Eating fried food may not be bad for the heart :
as long as you use olive or sunflower oil to make it

My Tip :
Swap saturated fats like butter, lard or palm oil for unsaturated fats
as a way of keeping your cholesterol down

what about canola oil?
i thought that was good for you also :undecided:
can't cook roti with olive oil only....for some reason it does not get the roti noce and soft
so i use "puroliva"....which is a mixture of olive and canola
perfect oil roti every time (which i make maybe once every two weeks or so...especially for the grandbabas)
i am more of a rice eatah

Make Yourself Heart Attack Proof
#
this doctor here says no oil is good!
he says, in 'making yourself heart attack proof', that the studies that established OLIVE OIL as a good oil were superfical and useless.
subsequent in-dept studies have revealed there is no benefit from oilive oil compared top any other oil. it is just as bad as the rest.
NOooooo Oil! he croons!
I on the other hand have great faith in coconut oil. di'ze the oil fuh allyuh..fuh me... fuh everybody :cheesy: :cheesy:

not all olive is the same, some manufacturers have been known to mix theirs and bottled it as EVOO when it fact it was not. The best olive oil should have a fruity smell and taste. I had some of the best tasting oil last summer when I went on a wine and olive oil tasting trip in Sonoma, California.

Man I love olive oil..fresh, fruity like yu say.
wen I cud eat Italian I used to make my pasta..spaghetti, with olive oil and toss well.
I used to add olives, especially if I get them fresh and had to cook dem myself. then some wedged tomatoes and chopped hot pepper sprinkled over then tossed in.
oh gouoood! delicious!
but I am afraid the doctor is right..but for heart patients. if you not suffering from heart desese you can indulge every so often in some good olive oil.
but coconut oil is the best, most safe and nutritious oil to use
