The following is an incomplete list of players who should be considered for the India tour of the West Indies, as well as their batting average (where applicable) in the last PCL, four day tournament:
Kraigg Brathwaite - the only sure pick. Averaged 61. 3 tons in 7 games.
Evin Lewis - An opener. Averaged 49.
Marlon Samuels - known to be highly annoying
Leon Johnson - top run scorer in recent PCL. Averaged 57. Top SR too.
Darren Bravo - known to be highly annoying
Carlos Brathwaite - might be good as a cowlasher
Kieron Pollard - might be good as a cowlasher
Ramdin - a keeper
Dowrich - a keeper. Averaged 38 in PCL. Like Paint, is very serious.
Vishal Singh - a shrimp-looking Guyanese. Averaged 50. 3 big tons. Very serious.
Alzarri Joseph - a much touted 19 year old bowler with skill
Narine - might look good in high heels
Devendra "Archbishop" Bishoo - the bamboozler
Permaul - bamboozler 2
Badree - the original bamboozler
Gabriel - fast and fruitless
Taylor - now highly annoying
Jason Holder - bits and pieces but can bowl well and bat well when in the mood.
Chase - Scored heavily for Barbados. Averaged 59
Blackwood - a known unknown
Warrican - lol. This dude...pad your average Warrican. Knock Bradman off that perch.
Hetmyer - 19 year old Guyanese world cup winner
Shai Hope - averaged 67 with 2 tons in only 6 games. The highest avg of this year's PCL.
Cummings - a bowler
Devon Smith - Look away now.

I'm not sure. I would personally like Pollard as a number 6, to come in and bully tired bowlers.
Paint, Leon, Bishoo (must be played alongside Narine/Permaul) and Singh are my sure picks.
I'd pick Ramdin (just barely) over Dowrich, but keep Dowrich as a substitute.
I'd pick Hope again, and cross my fingers.
We need 2 pace bowlers of quality to dislodge The Mighty Kohli; I have no idea who is capable of this.

My XI:
K Brathwaite
Hope
Bravo
Johnson
Chase
Ramdin
Holder
C Brathwaite
Bishoo
Taylor
Joseph
I'm not sold on Hope, but the alternatives have just as many question marks.
Taylor's been useless in limited overs, but still put up good numbers in Test matches over the last year. For that reason, I would give him the edge over Gabriel, but honestly, it's a coin-flip.
I would drop Samuels. The selectors won't. An average of 29 over the last 2 years is not good enough. Leon Johnson scored runs for fun in the PCL, and performed well in his brief foray into Test match cricket.
Roston Chase has been equally as impressive in the PCL. As an added bonus, he can serve as the second spinner.
Ideally, I would prefer Ramdin to bat at 7, with Singh at 6, but in order for that to happen, you would either need to play Chase as the frontline spinner or go with just 3 seamers. I can't envision either of that happening.
