SHIV STRUGGLING MIGHTILY----IT WILL TAKE A MIRACLE FOR HIM TO PASS LARA(11953)
* I've been following Shiv since 1994----the way he has been batting his last 5 tests----I think it's over for him.
* Barbados should be his last test---whether he passes 11,953 or not.

These are Shiv's last 8 scores in tests:
21, 4, 7, 9, 50, 46, 13, 1 = 151 runs = 18.87 average
* Shiv faced 455 balls in scoring those 151 runs
* That means his strike rate in his last 8 innings has been a pathetic 33.1
* I am one of Shiv's strongest supporters----I think it's time to go.
* Lara is an extraordinary great---he deserves to remain the highest runs scorer in WI history----no point in Shiv crawling across the line.
* BARBADOS SHOULD BE SHIV'S LAST TEST.

* Shiv's is playing in his 163rd test---he has batted in 277 innings with 49 not outs---his average is 51.90
* If Shiv were to score 3 ducks in the remaining 3 innings in the current series his average would drop to 51.23
* And if Shiv were to foolishly play on and score 4 ducks in the 2 tests against Australia his average would be 50.36
BOTTOM LINE:
* If Shiv scores 7 ducks in his next 7 test innings---3 ducks against England and 4 ducks against Australia---his test average would still be 50+---it's will be 50.36----higher than Viv Richards 50.23
* Anyway, time for Shiv to announce his retirement.

Yeah : that should happen so he cannot be a "statistical GREAT"
But as Rev pointed out Mail , it is mathematically impossible.
Good WISH though

* Most of Shiv's strongest supporters are now calling on him to retire.
* If not at the end of the English series, then definitely after the 2 tests against Australia.

Shiv should consider himself extremely lucky if he gets selected to play against Oz!
Message to Shiv: stop worrying about the damn record and play your natural game! As Rev pointed out your record will never go below 50 if you fail!

Lloyd would NOT have the nerve to exclude Shiv from the Oz series.

* The Australian series will be in June----I believe the selectors will let Shiv know that's when he is expected to hang it up.
* So Shiv has one more test against England and 2 against Australia---and that's it.
* I have never seen Shiv struggle like he has the past 5 tests.
