A LOOK AT SHIV'S STRIKE RATE IN HIS LAST 7 TEST INNINGS
OBSERVATION
* The only time Shiv crossed 50 was in his last innings in SA---and his strike rate was in the 40s
* When Shiv pokes around with a strike rate in the 20s and 30s he doesn't score runs.
* Shiv was kicked out of the WI one day team because of his POKING----his strike rate was ridiculously low in his last 6 months in one day cricket.
* The way I see it if Shiv continues to poke around at a strike rate in the 20s and 30s he should get the hell out of cricket.

When Shiv OUT : the other 5 gone for under 100 additional runs.
Last 4th Innings was an exception THAT I hope will stay like that.
When he was out on a trap for 46;
the rest added 102

So let him be a Debonair drive man and lofting Balls down the ground ;
AND then OUT !
The Parade then starts back to the Pavillion ...
Poking around gets the other 5 Batsmen a Chance to UP thee TEAM total....
Paint is a Shiv Legacy : I am hoping Blackwood too ...

Well the most important thing is that he will get there. How many players can say at the end of their career that they have scored over 12000 test runs? I think Chnderpaul will get their during this test series against England. Would love to see him score a century in the next match.

Listen folks!
* It is written in stone---it's 100% guaranteed---it's a fait accompli---Shiv Chanderpaul will become the 7th player in history to score 12,000 runs in test cricket.
* But the truth is the old man(pushing 41 years) is slowing down and is currently crawling his way to 12K
BOTTOM LINE:
* If Shiv never faces another ball in test cricket he would have had an outstanding career.
* You can say whatever you want about Shiv but when all is said and done he has put up great numbers. And most importantly he has played the game with utmost class and professionalism.

Rev! how old yuh rarse be! ::confused::
Fuh ah man who growing younger, yuh rarse reads like an expert on old age.
you might be wrong on shive but not likely. but I hope you are. you have this great faith in numbers dont lie.
but numbers are dumb skunts like most people I know. numbers may be added but someone must do the work of addition..any anything else numbers may mean. they mean nutten without people to use them for a purpose they are functionable for. numbers explain nutten at all by themselves.
numbers are like hammer, chisel, saw..tools/machines... that do what we want to do with them or program them for. they are without purpose without our direction. indeed we fabricated them, made them, our own creation, to help us understand the world. we made dem suckers..did not give them a life of their own, just made them for our purposes
dont go senile on mih eh Rev. I know you growing younger ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL::
and indeed they can lie all the time because that is what we can make them do..lie..anytime we want them to lie

I seem to recall the Rev predicting, and declaring, a McCain/Palin victory on CC dot com not so long ago. ::LOL::
I hope you have much better luck on your prognosticating this time round Rev.
