CRICKET GUY Inc. (CGI) and Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) join forces with the entire Guyana in congratulating our professional franchise team, the Guyana Jaguars, on completing a historic and emphatic victory in the inaugural tournament of the WICB Professional Cricket League. The journey started in 2014 with the selection of the most professional team of players that we could have put together from Guyana and the Caribbean.
CGI was the first and only company to have totally embraced the franchise system proposed by the WICB and is extremely proud of this record achievement by the Jaguars team in the very first year of the League.
Some of the notable accomplishments exemplified by our players have been the complete transformation that the same team has undergone in just a year’s time and the great manner in which the team has gelled and embraced the franchise league system.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Individual Guyanese batsmen havent been too consistent with the bat. My gut tells me Chandrika has been the most consistent, always good for a 40-60, but unable to go higher. Chanderpaul wasn't taking this tournament seriously, and only went into superstar mode when games became important.
Permaul and Bishoo have been excellent with the ball. Leon Johnson has been disappointing. Deo started well, with some big scores, then faded.
Barbados has a bowler, Warrican, who has been taking big multiple-wicket-hauls consistently. Khan's been taking lots of wickets too.
Paint, Dowrich, Jason Mohammed, Chase, Devon Smith and Hope have been consistent with the bat, with Paint and Devon Smith being head and shoulders above the rest, stats-wise.
Blackwood has been disappointing. Shannon Gabriel has been disappointing. Tino Best has been disappointing. Makes you realize WI selectors pick the worst possible bowlers for international status.
Honestly, an all Guyanese/Barbados WI Test team will do better than our current West Indies team, with maybe Darren Bravo/Samuels thrown into the mix.

Barbados got the best pace bowlers and best test batsmen in the region.
Guyana has the best spin bowlers and second best test batsmen in the region.
Trinidad has a handful of decent batsmen (Evin Lewis, Jason Mohammed, the Otleys) and Narine.
Jamaica stopped caring about this tournament.
Nobody else consistently performing.

Wow, that's a nice mix of players. No Deo or Narine, interesting. I know Dowrich keeps wicket. Can Blackwood, Hope or Leon?
___________
Jermaine Blackwood - play in Tests and ODIS
Carlos Brathwaite - ODIs
Kraigg Brathwaite - play in Tests and ODIS
Darren Bravo - play in Tests and ODIS
Shivnarine Chanderpaul - final series for Chanders
Shane Dowrich - play in Tests. Can keep.
Shannon Gabriel - did nothing in the recent tournament
Jason Holder - play in tests and ODis as top order batsman.
Shai Hope - tests
Leon Johnson - tests
Denesh Ramdin - drop forever
Kemar Roach - looking washed up
Marlon Samuels - play in tests only
Devon Smith - SON OF A ****, IF SMITH PLAYS I GONNA SUICIDE
Jerome Taylor - play
Kemar Roach - looking washed up
Sheldon Cottrell - play
Miguel Cummins - play
Sulieman Benn - drop forever
Devendra Bishoo - play with Permaul, both formats
Veerasammy Permaul - play with Bishoo, both formats

The selectors should go in with this test team and batting order:
Paint
Holder
Samuels
Bravo
Dowrich (wkt)
Chanders
Leon/Blackwood/Hope
Bishoo
Permaul
Cummins/Cottrell
Taylor/Roach
The selectors won't do this though. They will play Ramdin and they will play one spinner. So damn boring. West Indies need to stop playing Holder low down (he will become a passenger like Sammy) and switch to a 2 spin attack. And stop selecting an unfit Roach.
Chanders need to retire fast. We got too many promising young people to blood, and at home is the perfect time.
I hope Dowrich and Hope get a game. Permaul and Bishoo need to play all tests together too. The selectors need to think outside the box.
