South Africa were 184/3 after 35 overs. South Africa's run-rate this World Cup in the last 15 overs is 11.84. Scoring at their average run rate in the last 15 overs would have got them to 361. There is also a good chance they would have scored more as New Zealand had used up the majority of their overs from their frontline bowlers by this point. When the rain came, with 12 overs remaining, Southee, Boult and Henry had 5 overs left to bowl between them. Vettori had 1 left, leaving New Zealand to cobble together 5 overs out of Anderson, Elliott or Williamson.

built up over skunt west indies dead body. remove AB's temporary insanity in the west indies game and what does dat average become ::confused::
there is no way in hell the Saffys were going to score 11.84 per over against the Kiwi no matter who bowled.
the Kiwi are not the west indies. they are much better now..likely the best team in the cup..at least the second best team. top teams do not perform like skunt west indies >

When South Africa's innings resumed after the rain, they scored 65 runs from 5 overs at a run rate of 13 rpo and that was without getting to face the additional overs from Anderson, Elliott or Williamson.

They scored 97 runs in 8 overs : 12 RPO
with an almost 2 hour rain delay between 38 and 43 : disadvantage to SET batsmen ...
Mapoui , give it up ::LOL::

The highest successful run chase in World Cup history is 329 by Ireland against England in 2007. Only 6 teams have ever chased down a score of 300+ in the World Cup. In the history of the game, only 3 teams have ever successfully chased down a score of 350+ (South Africa chased down 435 against Australia in 2006 and India chased down 360 and 351 against Australia in 2013).
