RE: 37 YEAR OLD KUMAR SANGAKKARA
* Sangakkara has scored 11,995 runs at an average of 58.23
* But in his last 5 innings Sangakkara has struggled. These are his last 5 test scores:
* 21, 22, 59, 6, 1
* All batsmen go through a lean patch.
* Congrats in advance to Sangakkara on becoming the 5th batsman in history to reach 12,000 test runs.
* Not sure if Shiv will get to 12,000----he needs 275 more runs----that looks nearly impossible right now.

* Shiv knows he is only a couple of hundred runs away from Lara's 11,953
* He has put himself under a lot of pressure trying to break that WI record.
* Shiv should just forget about the record and play normal cricket.
* Shiv is batting scared---he is afraid to lose his wicket----when you play negatively like Shiv is playing right now---you are guaranteed to fail.

* Shiv's failed scores in the SA series were these: 21, 4, 7, 9, 0---I threw in 0 for the 2nd innings of the 3rd test.
* SO SHIV FAILED COMPLETELY AGAINST SA.
* But failure is good if you can learn from the lessons failure taught you.
* If Shiv learns from his failure in South Africa----he may very well surprise us all and perform well against England.

Shiv is the best test batsman in the team and the only west indian in the top 10 test batsmen in the world for as long as I can remember,so where is he going! Retire to do what..let that man play till he is 100 year old
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

He should continue to play..... The man knows his potential, he will decide when it's time for him to retire....... All players have their bad days at times, he's not the only one been getting out in three consecutive tests.

* Shiv will always be judged by a HIGHER STANDARD.
* 4 failed scores in a row(21, 4, 7, and 9) are unacceptable for a man of Shiv's high standard.
* Anyway, we know Shiv is a determined fighter----he is no quitter----and his struggles and setback in South Africa will not deter him.
QUESTION:
* When is the last time Shiv made 4 single digit scores in a row ?
----4, 7, 9, ?
ANS: Shiv has never made 4 single digit scores in a row
but there is always a first.

I'm at crossroads here, I want him to continue playing cause he's one of the best we got and his experience brings plenty to this young squad. He's going through a patch and hopes he get back in good nick. Don't want him to retire looking like a fish outta water

* Even with his 4 failed scores in the current series(21, 4, 7, 9), Shiv has not looked like a fish out of water.
* Infact he has looked solid until his sudden dismissals.
* Shiv's last 2 dismissals have been freakish----he defended a ball from Tahir in the 2nd test and it went between his pads and rolled on his stumps----and in his dismissal today----he lost his balance and fell over after missing a flick shot to a ball down the leg side.
* Shiv has not been getting out to great deliveries.
* I believe Shiv's recent failures will make him more determined than ever---he'll correct his mistakes.

* I see Ramo has become a psychiatrist. ;D
* After 21 years of mental torture Ramo finally gets to celebrate the near end of Shiv's career.
* By the way Ramo, even if Shiv scores 10 ducks in his next 10 test innings he will still achieve a first---first Guyanese batsman to average 50+ in tests.
RE: SHIV(11,725) SURPASSING LARA(11,953)
* Right now this is looking unlikely----Shiv is on his last breath ;D ---he will struggle to surpass 11,953
