Yes but how many of us will continue working if we discovered we had been duped and forced to accept a 75% pay cut?

They should have left before or after the series. I doubt that India will ever call West Indies for a tour even if they survive this mess.

Stroke,
That was clearly and option but why should it either be the only or the definitive action?
Do you think the players are the source of the problem, if so why?

How many of us would 'cut off our nose to spite our face' ? ![;) ;)](/media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png)
Mail you know my views on this fiasco. This situation could've been resolved with the players and their union and the players' employer at the end of the tour. As I stated before, the players did not think of the fallout and ramifications of their actions .....
Just how much bargaining power have they got now that WICB is faced with a bill of US$42 M ???? :-[

Calypso,
Did the players create the fundamental issue?
Why blame the players for not anticipating the fallout rather than those who created the problem?
Why was this problem created in the first place?
Was it due to the players?
For me this is not about bargaining powers it is about deceit and collusion by the WIPA and WICB.
The players were not asking for more money.
The players supported the initiative of the PCL but clearly stated to the AGM they did not expect wages to be cut to the extent of 75%!
Not many of us will cut our noses to spite our faces but the players did not do that.
Would you trust the WICB after with the WIPA they signed an agreement not sanctioned by the members?
The question you should be asking yourself is why didn't Cameron speak to the players and allay their concerns? Concerns they should not have had in the first place.
Why are you not focussing on the cause rather than the effect?
It is for the WICB to have thought about the fallout, the bigger picture as without players, there is no WICB. This does not mean the players can be bullies....
It is about time the WICB stop its incompetent management and real changes are made which I hope the ICC and BCCI force.
Get Cameron and the CEO, whose name eludes me for his absence, out for starters.
Would you see it cutting you nose to spoil your face if you were faced with such a pay cut without knowledge?

Mail ... While I think the 'blame game' has been beaten into the ground......
In a nut shell .... Do you think this could've been resolved AFTER the India tour?
