Ketchim,
Please do not be so ignorant.
I have not said SR. is unimportant but I find the thread pathetic principally for the different eras and the variables are not factored into the numbers.
You misquote people, you use quotes out of context and between threads and it is laborious.
I rehashed Rev's database to show an era more pertinent to the comparison.
I also pointed out based on Rev's database you would have to conclude Logie, Ridley Jacobs etc were more dominant at home.
And yes Shiv's SR on day 2 of the 1st Bangladesh test was pathetic. That is fact is he arrived at the crease 261-3 with a team strike rate of 3 and it plummeted.
Brathwaite was already on a ton.
You deny it was awful but you regurgitate the same old crap over and over again.
Comparing eras is almost impossible but a more meaningful comparison is below.
stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/i...esults;type=allround
Just to clarify the comprehension. On cricinfo some individual strike rates are not listed for some places, Viv is an example, so the logical question is to wonder where is the database getting its dats for anyone?
Someone presents a set of numbers there are basic characteristics which are required to ensure the data/ information is meaningful, comparable, consistent etc.
Questions are asked.
And yes we are all Shiv Haters.
