The subject is the greatest cricketer of all time, Garfield Sobers, and his dominance at HOME in the West Indies.
* If a batsman is deemed to be dominant that means he must not only be a prolific scorer, making his runs at a 50+ average, but he must also score his runs at a very high STRIKE RATE.
* Keep in mind, only 3 batsmen in history have ended their careers with a 50+ test average and a strike rate of 60+ ---Richards, Lara and Hayden.
* BUT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE GREAT GARY SOBERS AT HOME IN THE WEST INDIES.
STATS:
OBSERVATION:
* That 66.80 average at home by the great Sobers was amazing.
* But how DOMINANT could he have been if he only scored at a rate of 46 runs off every hundred balls he faced at HOME----that was Sobers STRIKE RATE at HOME---46.08
QUESTION:
* Was the great Sobers really DOMINANT at Home with his 66.80 average and his 46.08 STRIKE RATE ?

Mapoui will say the Great Garry : is exempt from Strike Rate !
SR should only be applied to the Chaps with Not Outs.
because as also endorsed by Mail and Chin : there is a direct correlation ! :-[

* THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE.
* The great Gary Sobers scored his 4000+ @ HOME at a STRIKE RATE of 46
* But The OLDTIMERS say Sobers was DOMINANT.
NOW LETS LOOK AT THE SLOW POKE CHANDERPAUL @ HOME
COMPARING THE GREAT SOBERS WITH SLOW POKE CHANDERPAUL
* Both averaged 60+ @ HOME----EXCELLENT!
* But the great Sobers scored his 4000+ runs at a STRIKE RATE of 46 while slow poke Chanderpaul scored his 6000+ runs at a STRIKE RATE of 42.
So Sobers scoring at 46 runs for every hundred balls he faced at HOME is DOMINANT but Shiv scoring at 42 runs for every hundred balls is a SLOW POKE.
* It looks like the oldtimers are full of shyt when they brag about Sobers being DOMINANT.
* THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE FOLKS.

46.08 Sobers STRIKE RATE @ Home
42.15 Chanderpaul STRIKE RATE @ Home
See link for stats:

* If the OLDTIMERS say Sobers looked BEAUTIFUL when he scored his 4000+ runs @ Home and Chanderpaul looked UGLY when he scored his 6000+ runs @ Home----no argument.
* But how can Sobers be more DOMINANT than Chanderpaul when their STRIKE RATES were similar---Sobers scored 46 runs from every 100 balls he faced at HOME; Chanderpaul scored 42 runs from every 100 balls he faced @ HOME.
* THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE FOLKS.

SpudzMcCrackhead can't pull the wool over your eyes Bro.
The truth is, he actually thinks Shiv is great. But his job on that site is to raise ants nest and stir shyte up. And he does it pretty well.

*
THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE CHAIRMAN.
NOW LETS TURN TO VIV RICHARDS
* No question Viv's STRIKE RATE revealed a DOMINANT batsman.
* But Viv's AVERAGE at HOME was below 50.
* So VIV could not be a GREAT @ Home----you have to average at least 50 to qualify as a great at Home.
* But Viv was an overall GREAT and he was DOMINANT overall.
* But Sobers being DOMINANT----that is an OLDTIMER'S TALE.
