The series is hanging in the balance tied at 1-1.
England have a good recent record at Old Trafford. Dating back to 2002 they have won 6 and drawn 2.
India have never beaten England at Old Trafford.
The pitch is expected to be much quicker than any of the three previous Tests with the potential for some turn as the match goes on.
Odds to win Test: Eng 9-5 India 5-1; Draw 11-10

Basically would entirely depend on how well England's gonna bat. They've got to repeat the performance in the third test to get ahead.

Although stats are not on India's favor, they still have their noses ahead.
They haven't faced Ashwin as yet and have always been vulnerable against him.
It is expected to aid the bowlers only in the first session. The curator has removed the tinge that was covering it.
As the match progresses, the pitch will crack open, and in turn aiding the spinners.

Jordan to Rahane, and he's gone! Rahane certainly didn't have to play at this one, but he chose to try and drive with an angled bat, and he gets a thick outside edge after it curls away, into the safe hands of Bell at second slip
Rahane c Bell b Jordan 24

That isn't the sort of start they were looking for! The rest of the days play could be critical, couldn't it? If India lose a couple more after lunch the rest of the test is going to be really hard yards. If they manage to keep things tight and a partnership or two gets settled, that might change things.
I have to say though, I definitely fancy England to turn the screws from here.

Anderson to Jadeja,, duck, duck, GOOSE !
Perfect set-up from Anderson, the inswinger to follow : going away and Jadeja is pinned in front !
Anderson looks as if he is about to burst a blood vessel, so impassioned is his celebration...
Jadeja lbw b Anderson DUCK
