I am always weary about these sort of back room dealings that go on when it comes to the court system and incarceration.  It is no secret that some people get off on lighter sentences than other inmates, and the reasons of course vary significantly, but maybe it should just be general population for everyone.

Wow, that's terrible. Any offender should be punished, period. It's sad that there is still bias when it comes to justice. When you have money or power, you are more likely to get justice. And when you don't, then prepare to suffer, even if you're in the right. I just wish for the safety of Rachael especially since her husband is quite powerful and has connections.

Not that I'm surprised. What makes it even more terrible is that even now they wouldn't go into the details of how they made a convict comfortable.
