BECOMING the first West Indian to score a century in each innings of a Test match against Bangladesh, 22-year-old Kieran Powell of Nevis hopes he has cemented his place in the regional team.

In fact the previous eight West Indians scoring hundred in each innings are legends of the game: namely, George Headley, Everton Weekes, Clyde Walcott, Garry Sobers, Rohan Kanhai, Lawrence Rowe, Gordon Greenidge, and Brian Lara.

No matter which cricket team you are playing against it is still difficult to make a century in both innings and as such even with the likes of Bangladesh and Zimbabwe not many batsmen from the top playing Nations have done it. so this feat is special nonetheless.

Ketch Lara did and in his two matches against them averaged 87! He also had Zimbabwe again whom he average 56, also in two test.
