Kallicharan's last Test was in January 1981
For County Championship matches
1981 averaged 45.47
1982 averaged 68.32 Wisden cricketer of the Year Top the county championships for runs and 3rd for averages
1983 averaged 55 second to Lloyd by 22 runs as secon best West indian
1984 averaged 48 scoring 2012 runs
In all those years Windies played about 29 Tests which Kalli should have played at least....He should have played at least 95 tests!
He would have been only 35 in 1984 but yet he was never recalled!
How shocking is that?
From 85 to 90 he was on the slide but had agood season in 1986 averaging 52.

Kallicharan, for Warwicks, scored the most 100 in a season 1984, in their history, with 9!
A feat equalled by Lara 10 years later.
