Shambolic batting from the Bangladesh top order has put them in a hole.

They set off like they thought it was an ODI and Gabriel, Joseph and Cornwall tucked in as a result.

Hetmyer, Pooran and to an extent Evin Lewis, are the wildcards. IPL scheduling means they will never really play domestic 4 day games, so selectors have to decide if their sheer talent and ability warrants a spot

If Lewis doesn't get an IPL deal he could play in the 4 day comp

I don't care what anybody say Kraigg Braithwaite and John Campbell are the right opening pair for West Indies, both got unfortunate dismissals today but I retain faith in them, with our first innings lead we are effectively 150 runs for three with a lot of batting to come so we are in the driver's seat, I believe that the match is there for us to win as all of our bowlers are taking wickets....What say ye?....

Tagenarine Chanderpaul has been ruled out of the second test between the West Indies and New Zealand due to a side strain.

Chanderpaul suffered the injury while playing a shot in the nets on Tuesday.

SerenaThis batting performance by the West Indies in the second innings blew me away. I kept closing my eyes and then rubbing and opening them again and sat transfixed as I watch that unbelievable partnership between John Campbell and Shai Hope. What a magnificent performance by these two! It just goes to show that patience, determination and effort can go a long way to improve the performances of the West Indies team.
