Pitch and conditions
Rain probably doesn't strike twice in Nagpur, but it was overcast on the eve of the match
and the forecast is said to be partly cloudy on Tuesday.
The surfaces in use for the qualifiers here have been dry.
Balls have stopped on the batsman a bit - even offcutters from the seam bowlers.

New Zealand need to pick between Mitchell Santner and Nathan McCullum as the lead spinner.
The other toss up might be between Mitchell McClenaghan,
who has been part of an IPL-winning Mumbai Indians team,
and Adam Milne. .

The only reason there may be a change made to India Asia Cup-winning XI
is if Mohammed Shami has impressed the management enough
to squeeze in ahead of Ashish Nehra.

This should be a good start to the tournament and a good test for India. When I made my predictions a fortnight ago, I had New Zealand reaching the semi-finals, along with India, West Indies and South Africa.
The speculation above by ESPN that New Zealand will play just the one spinner was interesting to read. For me, I would have both Santner and McCullum in the side ahead of Milne/McClenaghan.

It's really depressing that McCullum is missing from the action. He announced his retirement at the most unfortunate time. He could have at least played this tournament.
Also a trivia that 4 of the matches that New Zealand won, Mccullum was in 3 out of 4. And even Vettory is no more.

Kane Williamson terms it a track that might crumble, so wants to have the best part of it available to his batsmen.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
