Seriously, Regardless of who did it or did worse and regardless of said penalty. The bottom line is Gayle was clearly out of order with his comments.
He got his fine, time to move on.

I know exactly what you mean and that's partly my argument. If this had happened with any other sport, I'm sure the backlash wouldn't have been half as what it has been. Maybe it's because cricket is regarded still as a gentleman's game and that's why the comments have stirred this much controversy?
Cricket as a whole needs to move on I feel, but some media coverage won't let the situation pass. That isn't doing the sport any favours.

I think your probably right to be honest. T20 is all about trying to entertain the crowds but I think they would rather the players do that ON the pitch rather than off it!
Maybe the more relaxed atmosphere had something to do with gayles comment? He thought it was fun and could bend the rules a bit more than normal maybe? I'm not condoning his actions but it's a theory.
