He stated in his letter to Dave Cameron of 23rd December
Quote inter alia "......The WICB must stop functioning as a virtual private Club and be responsible and responsive to the people of the region"
I do not thin Mr Gonsalves is alone in this view and it shows there is a will to change....

my login this crissmus' mawnn is that Skams is worse than all the wicb chairs from 1995 to now combined.
allyuh ent sense this Skameron skunt yet. he is a lunatic, ego driven maniac, a short step away from complete insanity...Whycliffe Cameron of the Yard, who actually believes he is the chairman of something powerful, supra-regional that not even the governments-in-Caricom can touch..a leader of a cricket regional board who can address regional and international events that has nothing to do with cricket, like a head of a nation state, as he has been doing.
what accounts for Skameron is a straight line development from Pat Rosseau..the emergence of black/brown unaccountable elitist power in cricket, walking structurally with the elitist form of power organization the bureaucratic form. from Rosseau, under Skameron now, that form of administrative organization has taken a giant leap as it grows, even as the wicb flails around for money to meet its annual budget.

The PM ought to have known that the WICB would do whatever it wanted regardless of any "agreement" on paper.

Skipper,
What is your position?
Workers have a rigt to Industrial action, don't they?
I repeat, had the players not walked out it would not have forced change. The team travelling to SA was, perhaps, the first in eons to have received acontract prior to the tour!
I am also sure this contract will contain clauses around the MoU/ CBA so effectively tehy may not yet be sure what payments they will receive!

You do realize that there is going to be NO renegotiation of the MOU/CBA or whatever.
I feel fairly sure that the money on offer is the "new payment" structure that was "negotiated" by WIPA and the WICB.
The only good thing to come out of the whole sorry mess is that the players at least now have contracts prior to leaving that spells out exactly what they will be getting. Just imagine that dis foolishness went on for years - fcuking disgrace.
