Ramesh,
How would you feel if on Monday your Union tells you they agreed a 75% cut in you salary, I suppose you would be ok with that?
In this case it is about due process and not trying to bamboozle and mug people.
The WIPA is a representative of its members, players, and should work in partnership with but be indistinguishable from the WICB.
The WIPA need to be independent.

Terrible terrible news for the windies fans. Total failure of WICB and the management.
Now India tour is gone but I really hope they sort it all out before the world cup and West Indies full strength team goes to the WC.
Very disappointed actually because I was looking forward for their test series with India.

Tony Cozier believes there is a very real chance that West Indies could fail to send a squad to the World Cup. "The BCCI are very upset that the West Indies board and the players should have called off the tour at this stage," Cozier told ESPNcricinfo in a telephone interview from Barbados on Friday. "Now having done that, meaning that this tour is finished, they were scheduled to go to South Africa right after. They've got three Test matches in December, five one-day internationals in January and a Twenty20 and then they are scheduled to move straight from South Africa to the World Cup in Australia in New Zealand. I can't see that happening if the standoff remains."

Wot ah ting eh?!!!
While I agree with the players' right to strike, I wonder if they actually thought out the repercussions and ramifications of their actions not only for themselves but for Windies cricket. Did they sign a contract tour and did this mean they had to fulfil the tour to India??
If this dispute was 'under a cloud' before the start of this series, why was it not resolved then ? .. and as it obviously was not, why could this not have been resolved after the current series and before the SA one without causing so much embarrassment and disarray?

The situation as I understand it and the bits I am still unsure of in this whole fiasco ..... :-\ ..... my view .....
Cameron should resign as he did not protect the interests of WICB within the cricket world plus the embarrassment with the richest cricket board may lead to some payback legally or otherwise to the detriment of WICB ..... in addition to the embarrassment in international cricket.
Wavell Hinds should also step down as it appears he sold out the players .... and it appears the real dispute is between these two. There also appears to be a conflict of interest where Hinds is concerned.
Bravo should be fired as ODI captain given the WICB report as to his abusive language plus perhaps the dramatic and stupid 'show pony' way in which he handled this situation even though I empathize with the players......I'm not sure he thought this out thoroughly.
