I don't see how it works that way..or can work that way mail.
in the west indies Chinese don't even care about cricket. and the only thing they have in common with the whites and Indians is their social position in the region.
there are ordinary indos but they are not up to run anything in the west indies...just like ordinary black people are not in line to run anything in the region
and according to west indian history, our actual experience, upper class elites...whites and blacks, Indos, Chinese, Mixed..are not identified and invested in west indian nationalism on any level. they are in fact opposed to west indian nationalism and are invested with forriners in exploitation of the region.
so what will you do..put cricket in their hands?
but it is already in their hands, run by the elites..always was. they are the ones who created west indies cricket organization.
but do you think that any other than a black skameron would do better than skameron or hunter at this time ::confused::
Rich...elites would do worse..did worse save for one brief period under Worrell, Sobers,Kanhai, Lloyd and Richards, Haynes...all of 35 years between 1960/61 and 1995. that's it. other than that, before and after west indies cricket administration has been the pits..racist, reactionary, elitist and always representative of the forrin interest, not the west indian nationalist interest. it is so right now and has been so again, as before 1960... since the rise of Richie Richardson in 1995
it is not a question of skin colour but of class. Ramnarine is an ordinary west indian as far as I know. he did a very good job for the WIPA. now we have a black man at the head of WIPA and look at what he has done to the union!
but he is elitist..his class matters not his race. he is identified with and invested with the forrin interest in the region not the ordinary nationalist interest
