I don't see what playing ODIs in advance has anything much to do with somehow affecting their test performance. That's quite a stretch IMO.

Either way I see India aceing the tests but there's some hope as far as ODI series goes.

I think it is a fair bet India would beat the Windies in the ODIs, as they do at home, and to gain that psychological winning advantage is significant and may well give them the upperhand going into the tests which they will also win.

I would say Windies aim for the tests should be to compete.
