Kumar Sangakkara(11,929)  needs 25 runs to surpass Brial Lara(11,953) as the 5th highest runs corer in test cricket.


* Lara scored 11,953 runs in 232 test innings

* Sangakkara has scored 11,929 runs in only 220 test innings.

* Clearly Sangakkara is a bigger runs machine than Lara.

West Indians don't mind Sangakkara surpassing Lara. It's Shiv they don't want to see become the highest test scorer in WI history. Shiv will be 40 on Saturday, Aug 16th---hope he is fit and healthy and plays another 5 years.

Shiv(11,414) needs 540 runs to surpass Lara(11,953)

He will,he definitely will in the final test.Looking at the form he is in,25 runs will come off with ease.He has been a real legend and in the 3 way tie up,between Shiv,Mahela and shiv,it is he who is going to get there first..

45? You're kidding right? Even Sachin retired around 40. I'm not saying that he can't play - but come on 45?

I hope he stays as long as possible though. He's still the best WI test batsman ATM.
