www.espncricinfo.com/magazine/co ... 13019.html

since I know myself following cricket this is the song I have been hearing..more that fifty years now: west indies have no money. we must depend on outside sources.

this has been the song and it never gets better..never got better all along.

and while we all expect to work, save, invest and get better, improve our financial condition... that has never ever been the case with west indies cricket.  how in the hell is that possible?  it does not compute.  there must have been a way for the wicb to get solvent all these years

we have been doing the same phucking thing for more than fifty years, end up worse off than we were at the start..and here we are fully committed to keep on doing it for what another 50 years..forever :?

wat in hell kind of sickness is that?

there is something wrong with that model. it is dead wrong.  it does not compute.

people, nations must live off their own resources. there is always enuff in every nation for the people carry out that principle of doing for self and doing well at it...to live well and do all they want to do in the world.

WHY ARE WE ALWAYS BEGGING ::confused::

HOW IN THE HELL IS IT NOT POSSIBLE IN THE WEST INDIES FOR THE CRICKET TO BE SOLVENT ON OUR OWN RESOURCES :?

IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE! IT IS LUNATIC. HERE WE ARE FULLY PREPARED TO EAT INDIAN SHIIT FOR PITTANCES TOSSED AT US... TO ALLOW INDIA TO DO AS IT PLEASES WITH WORLD CRICKET.

THAT IS UNTENABLE TO ME. I WILL NOT BE FOLLOWING CRICKET ANY MORE AS THIS DEVELOPS.

cricket is worse now, far more undemocratic than in the old Victorian past when england ruled the roost and dictated to all. and the wicb agrees with it, sucks up to it for a few crumbs..refuses to strike out on its own to see what it can do for the west indies in possible new directions of development

piss on cricket. may it die as it is trending at the moment. none too soon!

if west indies cricket cannot support itself on its own resources then let it die rather than this total humiliation we have been living all along.

let OUR dam representative team die because it cannot support itself.  its like any business that fails, any model that cannot work.  let it die its natural death and we go on with life

we will play regionally and be cool.  we will produce stars who can go on to play internationally for professional teams who hire such players... and deh can make great money for themselves.

and that will be that.  I don't know who in their right minds keep something going that is not viable.  shut down the west indies team and be done with the bulllshiit ::angry::

Maps I will tell you this.  Regardless of whether they implement a two tier system or not the windies will come out ahead .
My understanding of the future tours program is that teams will be allowed to make bilateral agreements and I guarantee that the westindies will be in the mix .
They are still an international draw inspite of mismanagement and I am sure that the big three will tour and allow the Westindies to tour their countries. The losers  will be all the other test playing nations.
A marginal improvement by the windies will be a big draw in the big three countries . Why  do you think the CPL was so successful ? it was because the windies is still important in the larger scheme of things

how can you make such a guarantee ::confused::

you remember your history of the relationship between the west indies, England and Oz..and later India over the years ::confused::

how much has changed that gives you the confidence to guarantee that the big 3 will honour anything they promise the west indies ::confused::

maybe if west Indies becomes dominated by Indos then India would be disposed favourably, honestly towards the west indies.

at the moment I see no favourable BCCI disposition towards the west indies..and doubt they would act in anyway inconsistent with their interest as they see it, whatever it entails, over the years

my approach to everything man... is to be in a position always to do for myself and mine what is necessary if I can... so that whatever anyone does it does not really matter to me for I am ok!... period! on my own resources.

I can relate to anyone on that basis and need not compromise myself

the problem is that the west indies is not a little dependent on the Indian board..it is not largely dependent... but utterly dependent  on it..or to a degree that is quite unacceptable.

it is impossible, ridiculous,  for the west indies, a region of independent states,  to depend on India, another country, for development resources for any aspect of its culture.  that is sick!  but look how easy we accept it here..and in the west indies

that is a position that makes no sense to me at all man..all we do is dependency on another nations. we are a parasitic culture generally.

and nothing that you expect is written in an agreement that forces acceptable responses from India, Oz and England.  that is is constriction, dependency, limitation and humiliation

I will stick to my position:  if west indies cricket is not a viable option, i.e,  it cannot survive on its own resources and potential for development and expansion, then it is nor worthy of survival and should be allowed to die..or rather find a lesser shape and form in which it can indeed survive on is own.

and that may mean a strictly regional game that can act as a feeder league of players for international competitions.

that is much better than the dependency that Cozier and others advocate.

all that would accomplish is the survival of the wicb bureaucracy in splendor and pomp, huge salaries for administrators who have nutten to do for there would be nothing in the west indian game.  India would end up subsidizing for as long as they decide to, a west indian cricket bureaucracy in name only..the wicb.

that is what they are actually fighting for...the survival of the wicb structure, organization..to finance it for as long as possible, to maintain themselves.

there is always the option of west indies cricket becoming totally dominated by west Indian indos and they in turn become an indian adjunct in the west indies.  that is one way indeed the situation can turn out.

but that is still dependency and still west indian cricket would be on a road to nowhere.

does that option interest you Kwami ::confused::  it does interest rabid racist Down/unda terminator!

but that is the likely outcome anyway.  black people in the west indies going nowhere at all.  they bring nothing useful to the table.  they are supine, dependent and parasitic..cannot depend on self and create a nation that does for us all what we need to survive and expand

what black people bring to the west indian table has been in dominant since before 1962... and look at the stage and condition it has brought us to at the moment...total failure on every level of existence..TOTAL SOCIAL FAILURE.

if it wasn't for indos, their business acumen and desire to own and do for self and community, every last thing in the west indies would be owned by forriners by now.  black people own little to nothing in the west indies.  and we always defer to forriners.

right now we need to plumb our own resources to re-develop the magnificent cricket we created and brought to the world.  to do so we went to find a white forriner called Pie Bus who cannot possibly know any damm thng about the west indies, west indian life and how we do things.

we refuse to even look to our own resouces to find solutions to our own problems so bad the nhiggers of the west indies are...nhiggers in the real sense of that term.

and deh call me racist because I point out the real significant dependent and parasitic source from which that decision comes..from our own souls as we are at this time...especially after the experiences we have had with such forriners in our cricket over the past 15 years

it should not be long now before the black control at the wicb collapses totally, irrevocably... because it has nothing to offer, is absolutely bare, empty, razed of class, humanity and ability,  principle and social strength.  and west indian indos will inherit the power.

there is no one else with any semblance of claim and qualification

They do know what has to be done BUT the greed is too powerful a factor !

Mind you ,  west indian Indos are no different as evidenced by the change of Government in Guyana.

After 21 years the Indo STILL blaming the Afro prior 28 years !

AND the cycle continues  :-[

I am not sure the emergence of India as the most influential stakeholder in International Cricket is in anyway comparable or of relevance to Pan Africanism.

There is no drive for an Indian collective of commerce, views and agenda.....in fact that might already be in place.

Ramesh may be angry at me for my attitude towards west indian black people but I don't see how lies would help us.

what I have said here is only partly truthful.  the whole is even worse than I have pointed out.  and the social prospects for west indian black people are even worse.  there may be no future at all for west indian nig nogs the way things are going

we have been and are stupid without flaw, seamlessly jackass..AND ABSOLUTELY NEGATIVE..THE MOST UNPRODUCTIVE AND DESTRUCTIVE, PARASITIC ELEMENT IN THE WEST INDIAN DEMOGRAPHIC... WITH OUR DETERMINATION TO BE DEPENDENT AND SUPPORTIVE OF OLE MARSE, TO DO ONLY AS HE SAYS, TO AFFORD HIM THE LUXURY TO HAVE HIS WAY WITH THE REGION FROM AFAR..AND TO DO NOTHING AT ALL IN OUR OWN INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE INTEREST SAVE THEY COINCIDE WITH THE WISHES AND PROFITS OF OLE MARSE FROM AFAR.

Our reward for all our subservience and lily livered heartfelt dependency will be social extinction..maybe even literal extinction.  we are already a declining part of the demographic. we have almost lost all social power in Trinidad and Guyana.  and up in Jamaica we are an enslaved group, held in check by Jamaican mulattos for the forrin powers.

that is where 50 years of independence under black dependent domination has gotten the region to...

its a total waste and we wont wake!  we keep throwing up Hunters and Skamerons, political leaders who know no better than to shine the shoes of white people.  deh go shine their shoes with out backsides as they lick us into the Caribbean sea soon
