he has been so consistent. nutten he has touched has failed. the rest of the league is actually afraid to deal with him..'friad deh get cleaned out.
is a Nigerian thingy eh.
Masai actually runs the MLSE eh. they got an even bigger agglomeration of businesses - the Wiz. they want him to run that too.
I really think DC is the place fuh him. from the Wiz..he can graduate to the real deal..behind the scenes power broker
if I was Tannenbaum I wud let him go if eh wanted to go

Lets be the Devil's advocate :
Suppose Kawhi had flopped and we had gotten knock out in 1st round ?
a la Casey and Cavaliers each year 1st round ~
what would be saying about Masai ?????

well hindsight is 20/20
he get Kahwii..and its clear that he worked out the mechanics of the whole season with the Raptors medical staff. they all ended up on the same page with that and never flinched from it.
Kahwii said that the playoffs are all and he would play all games and give his all. Leonard never shirked that commitment. when the chips were down Kahwii played every game, all games all the way through all games according to what the coach asked of him.
now for years I have heard that Casey is too much of a systems man..that he had to get creative or forget it.
yet I liked Casey..what he did and does do as a coach he does it at a high level and wins all the time..and top personnel cant hurt such a system only enhance it. Leonard would have fit right in with Casey and prolly won as well
the Raps needed a big man like Leonard regardless. I wud not have given up DeRozan for that man..quicker give up Lowery. but that need was without question
but in the end I like Nurse as a man who can innovate to win, adjust to win games, change his style, rotations and habbits to win. that is exacvtly what Masai wanted so there we are with Nurse
also his signing of and persistence with Van Vleet was/is impressive. he stuck with Van Vleet when he was down and has been handsomely rewarded for it as Van Vleet emerged as one of the best players in the finals..made the raptor bench impregnable
all of those are Masai clear decisions..all of them..everything that took place. you cant get lucky with so much. you have to know what you doing for all of that to fall into place..most of it must be due to calculations, reasoning and decision-making.
the luck kicks in when a ball takes 4 crazy spins and falls into the net to eliminate the Sixers. Casey wud have won with Kahwii's too. he simply wud have overpowered everybody
Nurse is creative and can respond on the fly to challenges. I can see why Masai loves that. that he the way he is as well
and remember Masai has had Denver and the Raps at the top from the start of his GM career. he has been doing it all along..he has. and now I know more about how he has been doing it it makes a lot more sense than before
there isn't much luck there. the guy is truly brilliant..better than all the rest. ask Jim Dolan.
now to be sure the NBA is working on him.,.figuring him out. its like with Tiger Woods. they figure him out and now used his ways to improve them and their play and have been cutting Woods arse now regularly
r
Tiger was truly brilliant but they caught up with him. and Tigers woman problems hurt him badly, brought him down as much as his golf competition
they are going to catch up with Masai too. that's the way it goes. but he must lead them merrily for as long as he can by constantly getting better himself..by also moving on up and out as he goes on. you get crowned in basketball, move on, and up into other areas of administrative power
