A judge in California has decided that Charles Manson’s body will go to Jason Freeman, who claims he is Manson’s grandson. Amid ongoing legal battles, the Kern County Coroner’s Office retained custody of Manson’s body. The former cult leader died last November at age 83, and since then, Freeman and two others have claimed that they should decide what to do with Manson’s body. Michael Brunner, who claims he is Manson’s son, and Michael Channels, a Manson friend, lost out.

President Trump has selected former cable-news host Larry Kudlow to replace Gary Cohn as his chief economic adviser, multiple outlets reported Wednesday afternoon. The Washington Post, CNBC, and Politico all reported that 70-year-old Kudlow—who previously worked in the Reagan administration—accepted the job offer on Tuesday evening. Much like Cohn, Kudlow is an outspoken advocate in favor of free-market economic policies and against policies like the steel tariffs Trump announced last week.

Michael Avenatti, the lawyer representing Stephanie Clifford—the porn star who goes by the name Stormy Daniels—said on Wednesday that multiple women have reached out to him inquiring about potential legal action against President Donald Trump. Avenatti did not mention the nature of the legal action that the women were exploring, and did not say if it was related to allegations of sexual misconduct. He also did not disclose if any of Trump's previous accusers had contacted him. Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen orchestrated a $130,000 "hush" payment and a non-disclosure agreement with Daniels just before the 2016 election in order to keep the porn star silent about an alleged affair with Trump.

Meanwhile, new satellite imagery examined by Western experts has revealed new activity in North Korea’s nuclear reactors, though it’s unknown if the activity is related to generating power or the country’s weapons program.

United Airlines on Saturday confirmed it had accidentally loaded a dog onto a plane bound for St. Louis this week, leaving several dozen passengers delayed for a last-minute flight diversion. Natalie Noonan, a spokeswoman for the airline, told The Washington Post that Flight 3996 was diverted to Akron, Ohio on Thursday because the company “chose the fastest option to reunite the dog with his family.” Passengers forced to accompany the dog on its journey were compensated for the delay, Noonan said. At least 33 passengers were on board, according to CNN. The airline has made headlines this week for three separate dog-related incidents, one of which was fatal. A French bulldog forced into the overhead compartment for the duration of a three-hour flight died Monday. A day later, a German shepherd meant to be shipped to Kansas City was mistakenly sent to Japan by the airline.
