I may have misquoted Vaughan in the scared statement as he said they seemed rather than they were.
Apologies.

I find it hard to believe that they were 'scared' of him ......especially since he's been around all this time.

ECB say they still need his expertise in a different area but in my opinion he should just exit the entire scene ... unless he has aspirations of a come back in the future..... Wink

Caly,

I think Vaughan was told that so he dressed it up in his interview. My apology was to be in sync with his wording.

Have you any thoughts on who should be Coach.

Giles seems to be the front runner as he is part of a meeting with Downton and Cook to discuss and perhaps decide Pietersen's future.

the impression I have is that Flowers was given axe the english way..commit hare kare' or we will do it for you if we have to.

but it is much better of you do it

so he did it..resigned!

in other words he was fired..fiyahed.. fi'ahed :-[ :-[

he cannot under any circumstances be regarded as resigned in reality..but axed.

IF it waddles like a duck and Quacks .

What is it ?

Flower was picked and tossed  Tongue

Whether he was sacked or walked, I do not think he should have been offered to stay on a s a selector.

He has made a break, voluntary or otherwise, so move on from all team matters.

I think this is very shortsighted on the ECB's part.

Seems Giles is the front runner now.

Interesting Mapoui's point about Coaches, so MAPPIPPEE what sort of structure would you have around your test/ODI/ T20 team.

If you choose to answer, bullet points will suffice.

Just look at Cricket  for 100 years before someone created this Position !

#47
I suspected that Flower was undermined by Giles who made no secret that he was after the job

I am trying to find the Origin OR Year OR First Head Coach appointment.

In this glorious game ....but getting bad information ... :-[

I  dont believe in head coaches .
Can someone named the head coaches of the windies when they dominated.?

interesting Mail.  you keep trying to structure my participation .  wat gives you the slightest sense or indication that I will respond?

I speak as I see fit.  and if you are not happy with what I do who says others are...and that I would be in the slightest concerned  about your opinion requests likes and desires ::confused::

to answer myself... I don't care.

and my case against heading in cricket was outlined fully times back..when you were present and positing..and rather than posting my case again at your request you are free to peruse the archives find them and wallow in them at your requirement
