This England team aren't quite the silent assassins they were made out to be a few months back. It's very loud and very messy.

Ketcmeister,

You are very naughty indeed.

Fancy us wanting to run world cricket and we cannot manage our domestic team.

Far too many unanswered questions and as I said, why do this prior to a new Coach being appointed?

Andy Flower blamed espncricinfo.comAccess Denied for a players' revolt in Australia against his intense coaching style and, even before he accepted his own resignation was inevitable, became adamant that Pietersen would play no further part in the England side.
Flower's determination to rid the team of Pietersen was only partly justified by events and owed much to memories of how Pietersen had already brought down a previous England coach, Peter Moores, five years earlier.

Andy Flower blamed Kevin Pietersen for a players' revolt in Australia against his intense coaching style and, even before he accepted his own resignation was inevitable, became adamant that Pietersen would play no further part in the England side.

Flower's determination to rid the team of Pietersen was only partly justified by events and owed much to memories of how Pietersen had already brought down a previous England coach, Peter Moores, five years earlier.

The outcome was spectacularly similar. Back in 2009, Hugh Morris, managing director of England cricket, sacked Moores as coach and Pietersen was forced to stand down from the captaincy he had held for only a few months. On this occasion, Paul Downton, in his first week in the job as Morris' successor, forced a conclusion in which Flower - his views on Pietersen made abundantly clear - resigned with his reputation unimpaired and Pietersen was discarded from the England set-up forever.

The ECB hierarchy has always suspected Pietersen as a potential agitator and will protect the authority of senior figures ahead of all other considerations.

it looks to me that Flowers is another jackass, egomaniac coach that has taken Pietersen down with him

and when the chips started to fall a lot of the england players folded and slinked away back up under authority as the suck-ups they are.

no wonder this england team lost so badly when the going got tuff.  they are a bunch of lily livered cowards afraid of Flowers and english authorities.

pressure drop and they all bruk to hell up and scatter.  Cookie the captain most of all.  Skook I call him. skunt shud resign.  he is useless as leader.

and the head coaching position is the problem in this mix.  it is the coach's fault.  there shud be no head coach in cricket

English cricket really has become a laughing stock.... Any danger of a PR team taking it on and helping out immediately

[/quote] They takin lessons from Hilarious and Hunte.
The , method is simple , attack the strengths like Peterson... not unlike the attack on Shiv, Gayle

This is an incident that is partially being played out in public. I cannot see how this makes us the laughing stock. If it continues for 20 years like the WICB, then I will agree with you.

Eh, I wouldn't mind reserving judgment about Flower, but KP is certainly a prick. I don't have hard time believing that. He's caused troubles in the pre-Flower era as well. Whether that justifies his kicking out is another matter.

And I don't think a coach who's being kicked out can "take him out" with him, unless ECB deems it absolutely necessary.
