This is an interesting state. I'm surprised Lara isn't up there.

Greenidge was a great batsmen from what my dad tells me and what I have read and Sobers was the greatest of all time. Chanderpaul is in good company.

* Lara played in 32 tests won by the WI---he scored only 8 hundreds in those wins.

* Shiv has played in 35 wins for the WI---he has 10 hundreds---and there is a good chance he will pull even with fellow greats Sobers and Richards---they each have 12 hundreds in test wins.

* Greenidge had 16 hundreds in 57 tests wins he played in----but Greenidge was no great batsman----he struggled against Australia when they had a world class pace attack---Lillee, Thomo, etc---in his penultimate test match he scored 226 against a weak Aussies bowling attack.

* Greenidge also struggled against Pakistan---he averaged 31.89 in 15 tests against Imran Khan, Safraz Nawaz, Wasim Akram, Waquar Younis.
