Ramdin behaved like Richards once did. Shoe on other foot

The fact that Richards and Holding have made mistakes does not mean that in there mature years they cannot see the error of their ways.

For me the issue is the constant picking on Ramdin. Batting at 7 the top order failing constantly it fell to Ramdin and it is his fault. What is true is that Ramdin has been inconsistent with the bat but Richard's condemnation was far too deep and hurtful. He might say he did not pick on the failures of Bravo, Edwards and Powell because they have not played 45 tests so it is fair to give them a fair run.

I would have chosen to do it differently to Ramdin but it is really a storm in a teacup. He has apologised so let us move on but I am pleased to see someone standing up to his bullying ways.

I do not accept the justification of cited Richards poor behaviour because it was not on Television. I understand he also behaved badly for his 60th celebration which was being streamed. In 1999 at Old Trafford against Australia in the World Cup, he exited the building behaving in such a terrible manner storming past Keith Arthurton, me and my son. Earlier on I was standing next to him in the members area and what a poor attitude. At the same time Warne was taunted with chants of 'Who ate all the pies' as he went to the team coach and he just carried on.

It is a case of Poacher turned game keeper and Ramdin should have stood by what he did as he would have started a precedent to challenge Richards.

I am sure management made him apologise.

I have said before, many view greatness as a combination of your personal achievements but importantly your deportment which Richards fails miserably on.

Great batsman and his stats speak for themselves but not great in my eyes.

I am pleased this has been posted although I believe I had previously heard this story.

Might I suggest a great wallop around the head with a bat can be fatal.

It would appear reasonable, from the account by Akram, to conclude Richards' behaviour was reprehensible, threatening and unfit especially from a Captain, as he was.

If he had taken off his shirt, it is arguable, his intention was totally dishonorable by carrying his bat. Dispensing with your bat is one of the very first things one does even before removing anything else.

Also there is nothing ambiguous about his closing statement to Akram.

Sadly it shows Richards in a bad light.

In terms of Ramdin, I would not have chosen to remonstrate is that manner, but it was harmless if ill advised.
