I've listened to Lara saying that Tendulkar is to cricket what Ali is to Boxing & Jordan is to Basketball and I can just conclude that he was being modest. Tendulkar is an all-time great with amazing stats but he is not the face of cricket. Tendulkar was not a classic batsman that will fill stands with his breathtaking strokeplay. He was not even one that won nail-biting games for India with splendid match winning innings. I remember like 15 years ago on a TV program in Guyana a Guyana Cricket Board president was saying something negative of Lara and a board member stopped him in his tracts by saying "Lara is to cricket what Jordan is to Bball and Woods to Golf. I agree.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

SerenaThis batting performance by the West Indies in the second innings blew me away. I kept closing my eyes and then rubbing and opening them again and sat transfixed as I watch that unbelievable partnership between John Campbell and Shai Hope. What a magnificent performance by these two! It just goes to show that patience, determination and effort can go a long way to improve the performances of the West Indies team. Let us hope that this effort by West Indies batsmen would not be a one-off performance, but will be the beginning of a renewed effort to improve the performances of the team, going forward.(13.10.2025, 10:28)(10:28)0
