The self-proclaimed ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle says he could return to his boyhood team Lucas Cricket Club this year.
The 43-year-old Jamaican, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most destructive batsmen to have played Twenty20 cricket and by some as the best, said he believed that “people still want to see him play.”
He was speaking after playing in an exhibition game with fellow West Indies great Brian Lara at Treasure Beach Sports Park in St Elizabeth on Sunday.
Gayle, who made it clear that he has not retired from cricket, said he was still passionate about playing. He continued to play in various Twenty20 leagues around the world with much success and last represented the West Indies at the 2021 Twenty20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
