Mercenary cricket

Pollard, like Bravo, Narine and Gayle gave their best years to mercenary cricket and that is ok but for the fact that West Indies cricket came second. I always argued for their right to secure their financial future but West Indians are the only ones who put the T20 circuit before their national teams and CWI admins have a huge part to play in that. Yet they continue. Hety will sooner than later be lost if they continue to claim unfitness for his non-selection. Ditto for Odean Smith, once he make sit to the IPL. Not sure what's happening with Rutherford but I hope its not the same kind of treatment. Bottom line is unless they return selection to a merit based system with the same standards applied to everyone combined with whatever necessary assistance becomes imperative for players suffering from one or another issue, Windies will continue to bleed its talent to the T20 circuit. Fans are understandably insular but CWI should never be! Whatever one may think of Pooran he's probably the only one who outs Windies cricket first!

Jason Holder is unquestionably one of the top allrounders in World cricket but he is not a better batsman than Shai Hope, Darren Bravo, Nicolas Pooran, Brandon King or Shamar Brooks if he can score fifty against the Indians there is absolutely no reason the others along with skipper Pollard can't...our batsmen have to up their game...we can do better....Rally Hard....

CHRIS GAYLE AND DWAYNE BRAVO BEEN DOING EXTREMELY WELL AND THEIR TEAM IS ON TOP OF THE TABLE IN BPL 2022 .

Let's hope these IPL purchases imbue the purchased players and their team mates with the motivation to go out and put out performances for us to at least try and win the T20 series.
