Despite the silence from the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) about the players selection and departure, four Guyanese youth players departed Guyanese shores on Saturday. The four Guyanese who departed are Matthew Nandu, Mavindra Dindyal, Isai Thorne and Rampertab Ramnauth.
These players are expected to spend one week in Barbados for preparation, then fly to Antigua followed by England on August 22, with the ICC Under-19 cricket World Cup set for early 2022 in the Caribbean. Nandu, who plays his cricket in Canada and for Demerara when he returns to Guyana, is a left-handed top-order batsman who bowls off-spin.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Big issue in Guyana for ONLY 4 ~
The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) once again notes with extreme concern the shoddy treatment of Guyanese cricketers by Cricket West Indies (CWI).
The GCB has been reliably informed that only
four (4) Guyanese are in the training squad of fifty -six (56) cricketers
to prepare for selection to the regional team to participate
in the Under-19 World Cup Tournament.
