A NUMBER of youth players within the West Berbice Cricket Association (WBCA) will receive their educational grants, courtesy of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB)/Dr Puran Singh Educational Trust Fund.
The selected youth players who all hail from various parts of the Ancient County district of West Berbice, will each be future beneficiaries of a $10 000 educational voucher which will be used to obtain material from Metro Office Supplies.
Among the selected players are (Blairmont) Razam Koobir, Altav Balman (Paradise) Keywan Mingo, Sheniya Mangra (Achievers), Christopher Webster, Tamara George (Bath), Saif Hargobin (Cotton Tree) Shivnarine Ragerbeer, Arif Bacchus with (Bush Lot United, yet to name a player)
The aforementioned cricketers were selected from clubs that are playing in BCB Youth tournaments. Players alongside a parent are asked to report to the BCB Office on Wednesday, April 21 at 15:30hrs to uplift their vouchers.
Meanwhile, BCB president Hilbert Foster has now fulfilled his commitment to provide educational assistance to young players in the four major sub-associations.
