Most of us were miffed that the 'stars' withdrew from the Bangladesh tour. And while had they not done so Dasilva, Bonner, Warrican and Mayers may not have had the chance to show what could be capable of. Note that mostly Windies player used the COVID as an excuse to not participate in tours and so while WICB says they will not be penalized for not doing so the board must also make it clear that those who chose to tour will be given preference over those who did not. Let Holder be relieved of the test captaincy and Brathwaite hold on to it.

Some people are silently hating on Mayers because now Hetmyer has officially lost his place in the test team due to a number of reasons:
1. arrogance and ignorance to learn and work on his flaws thinking he would always be a sure pick
2. choosing to decline tours to England and Bangladesh
3. the emergence of Mayers to play his role
Added to that, Warrican and Cornwall got the job done which means Permaul will warm the bench again in the next match and probably never play another test match either.

Pooran MUST decide whether its all about the money or he wants to meet the criteria to play test cricket before its too late.
