18 Interested in Coaching Red Force
THE Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board has received 18 applications for the position of coach of the senior national men's team.
Among those bidding for the prestigious post are Mervyn Dillon, whose contract expired on April 30, and David Furlonge, who managed the Red Force in the 2019-2020 season.
Also showing interest when the deadline for applications closed on Thursday was Rayad Emrit, and former national players Samuel Badree and Imran Jan.
Also in the mix are Sulieman Benn, the ex-West Indies, and Barbados spinner, Tobagonian Brian Browne, a Sri Lankan, an Afghan, a Pakistani, and a South African.
The executive of the TTCB will next appoint a selection committee to interview the candidates after which the new coach will be offered a contract.
