Off-spinner Suresh Ganouri and Leg spinner Sen Gopaul played integral roles entroute to Guyana retaining the 1976 Benson and Hedges Regional Under-19 Cricket Championship. Ganouri mesmerized the Windward Islands at Rose Hall with match figures of 13 for 59, while Sen Gopaul 12 for 79 destroyed Jamaica in the Finals at Sabina Park, opener Andrew Lyght was the other Guyanese hero in the finals. His 106 was superb. En route to the finals Guyana lost first innings to Barbados at Albion. Rebounded and beat the Windward Islands outright at Rose Hall, while the Windwards took first innings from Barbados.

Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
