ON Saturday, all roads will lead to Durban Park where the Government of Guyana will host an “exciting” watch party for the finals of the Caribbean Premiere League (CPL) tournament.
According to a release, the Ministry of the Presidency’s Department of Social Cohesion, Culture, Youth and Sport will be hosting the watch party for all Guyanese who wish to come together and continue the comradery that dominated the Guyana National Stadium during the home games of the HERO Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2019.
At 17:00hrs on Saturday, the Guyana Amazon Warriors, who have won all their games so far in the 2019 CPL tournament – 11 to be exact – will take on the winner of Thursday’s Qualifier 2 match-up between the Barbados Tridents and the Trinbago Knight Riders.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Former leader Forbes Burnham, who had a grandstand view from his palace on the first bend
– ‘The Residence’ – soon broke that up, shutting down the racetrack and driving a road through it
to the new suburbs of north and south Ruimveldt.
The track was replaced by ‘The Square of the Revolution’, a statue of Cuffy
the 1763 slave revolt leader at its centre.
At the other end of the park was Burnham’s Culture Centre, a true piece of socialist iconography.

The incoming government of Cheddi Jagan in 1992, set aside $90m Guyanese dollars for clearing D’Urban Park.
It was in a half-hearted gesture. Some work was done but soon it reverted once more to swamp and pasture.
The donkey cart ruled; the grass used to feed them and road to race them.
