England fast bowler Chris Jordan has joined Hero Caribbean Premier League franchise Trinbago Knight Riders as a replacement for Pakistani Muhammad Hasnain, who was recalled to Pakistan a week ago.

Guardian Media understands that the fast bowler, who is a native of Barbados, will join the team in Barbados on Wednesday and will be in contention for a spot in the TKR line-up when they take on the Barbados Tridents at the Kensington Oval from 6 pm on Thursday.

Jordan, who played for England against the West Indies earlier this year during the Colonial Medical Insurance Cup in the West Indies, brings a lot of experience to the fast bowling unit at TKR. The 30-year old last played for England against Pakistan in May this year but was overlooked for the ICC World Cup and was not used against Australia in the Ashes series recently. Jordan has played in 39 T20 internationals and has taken 47 wickets at an average of 25.61

ENGLAND SEAMER, Chris Jordan, is now available for selection by the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR)

and is expected to bring added firepower to their bowling attack

when they square off against 2019 Caribbean Premier League

(CPL) leaders, Guyana Amazon Warriors

at the Queen’s Park Oval, St Clair today from 7 pm.

Jordan’s timely inclusion comes on the heels of Pakistan fast bowler Mohmmed Hasnain’s departure

due to domestic and international commitments.

“He only got to Trinidad (on Friday)
and only joined up with the team (on Saturday).
He is available for selection but we have to sit down and decide which would be the best possible squad to play.
We will come up with the best combination and hopefully that 11 that takes to the field,
will get us that win at the end of the game.”

Chadrapaul Hemraj had already clubbed a six and a four

and this time he collected two fours off Chris Jordan

to shoot their run rate from under seven to nearly eight per over, with a 34-ball half-century.

Romario Shepherd’s late cameo with the bat in the Warriors’ innings

– he smashed 32* from 13, with two sixes and a four to finish it off as

25 came from Chris Jordan’s closing over.

C Jordan ~ 4 overs zero maidens, 1 wicket for 49 runs : econ 12.25 :woohoo:
