Shoaib Malik had a stellar all-round evening.
He made an unbeaten 37-ball 67 to lift his team to 218.
He made a bold move to bowl legspin at Chris Gayle from the get go
and eight straight overs of spin at Jamaica Tallawahs to strangle them ~
He closed the day with crucial catches, crisp run out, smart bowling changes
causing a massive 81-run win : Shabash !!

Shoaib Malik's CPL numbers are too good. He is the first overseas player to 1500 runs in the tournament, including an excellent 67 not out off 37 balls last night. He has featured in all seven editions of CPL and captained Guyana in 5 out of 5 wins this year

Malik went one better on Sunday,
even getting his bowling into the picture.
As one of three spinners alongside Chris Green and Imran Tahir :
he conceded only 10 runs in his four overs
and took the wicket of Barbados Tridents captain Jason Holder.
The trio took a combined 7 for 46 in 13.3 overs
as Amazon Warriors made it six in six
to seal a playoff spot
with four games to go.
