west indies had been on top for a long time..a downturn was to be expected. the historical perspective to deal with the evolutionary flow of things is to capitalize when you are on top and to support even by deficit if necessary when you are dong to ensure that basics are set correctly so that you rise again.

what was necessary for west indies cricket was a mightily focus on the basics..to incentivize school cricket as soccer came up the middle to vie mightily for youth talent. you had to have programs at the grassroots, spruce up regional organization and competition

you have to develop revenue flows that would pay players so that a flow of talent into the game is assured. it must develop into the west indian talent can decide for cricket because the players can make a living at home and don't have to go anywhere to get contract to earn a living.

going out to earn a contract must be extra..that the competitions would have to pay huge to lure west indian players away from home.

the key is that you must have players so that the game can go on, develop, become champions once again..down up won up cycle all depending n the sophistication of the management of the game in the region.

up comes the big, elitist, jackass more suited to the republican party USA than running west indies cricket. the jackass focused like a laser on building up the bureaucracy and stiffing the players.
