In a dramatic and unprecedented move, the BCCI has prepared a draft letter asking the ICC

TO BAN Pakistan from participating in the upcoming World Cup. :woohoo:

In the draft, the BCCI argues that Pakistan should be banned from the World Cup
given the Indian government's stand that the country is supporting terrorism in India
- the latest incident being the Pulwama militant attack where 42 Indian soldiers died
after a suicide bomber rammed into their convoy in Kashmir.

The Pakistan cricket team won the World Cup in 1992 under the captaincy of Imran Khan.

NOW Prime Minister of Pakistan ;)

Pakistan have also been runners up at the 1999 World Cup where they lost to Australia in the Final.

They have been Semi Finalists 4 times :1979, 1983, 1987 and 2011

and have also reached the Quarter Finals twice :1996 and 2015.............

INDIA cricket team are two times World Champions.
In addition to winning the 1983 Cricket World Cup
they triumphed over Sri Lanka in the 2011 Cricket World Cup on home soil.

They were also runners-up at the 2003 Cricket World Cup

and semifinalists thrice :1987,1996 and 2015....

India succumbed to an embarrassing 180-run defeat at the hands of Pakistan

in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at The Oval.

Kashmiri Muslims, who traditionally support Pakistan in cricket

took to the streets after the win waving Pakistani flags and chanting

"Jive Jive Pakistan (long live Pakistan)"

as fireworks exploded over Srinagar's skies ~

The ICC is believed to have turned down the BCCI's proposal for member countries to "sever" ties
with other members that harbour terrorism, saying the ICC was not the appropriate forum to take such decisions.

Shashank Manohar raised the topic himself, briefing the Board about receiving the BCCI letter

and saying that the ICC primary duty concerned cricket.
