In the last two years, Holder has averaged 40 with the bat and 21 with the ball (with four 5-fers).
In his last 7 test matches, he's averaged 50+ and 12 with the ball.
In 2018, his bowling average was 11.8, the best for a pacer in a calendar year in over 100 years.
For a guy coming in at 8, that's pretty impressive.

Really helpful info. I had no idea...I thought he was still developing. he has arrived in fact.
I can come back to west indies for the cricket only given this. we got a genuine class player here.
how is he as captain..as good?

the batting is setting up a bit with the return of lil Bravo ..if he is still as good as he used to be..or can get fit and recover his skills
Hetmeyer appears to be the real deal..Chase has done good work all along the way. opening seems steady but needs improvement. one factor that could produce improvement is the good feeling and confidence that may be generated in the openers as the middle and tail solidifies and produces consistently
the cricket is getting interesting again..even better if we produce a win here ..do not allow the h'inglish to make a record of great proportions

I think he's still pretty weak as a captain. He's too defense, too reactive rather than pro-active, his field setting is weak and he does weird stuff with his bowling changes.
He seems to motivate the team well, though, and his batting and bowling have improved a lot since A B Devilliers massively molested him in South Africa. It's amazing how difficult batsmen find scoring off him, considering his pace.

West Indies Cricket chief executive Johnny Grave :
"I saw Andrew Flintoff say he can't believe Jason Holder got a double hundred
yet I think Jason Holder is a fantastic cricketer and has been performing so fantastically over the last 18 months
- a brilliant captain."
