Barbados name strong squad to oppose Guyana in regional first-class Championship

Bridgetown, Barbados, January 1 - ( www.bcacricket.org ) - Nine players with international experience are in the Barbados Pride 13-man squad named tonight for the third round regional first-class match against title holders Guyana Jaguars at Kensington Oval, January 4-7.

The nine are fast bowling all-rounder Jason Holder, who is the West Indies Test and One-Day International captain, opening batsman Kraigg Brathwaite, batsman Jonathan Carter, batting all-rounder Roston Chase, who bowls off-spin, wicket-keeper/batsman Shane Dowrich, off-spinner Ashley Nurse, fast bowlers Kemar Roach and Miguel Cummins and left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican.

Squad:

Shamarh Brooks (captain), Kraigg Brathwaite, Jonathan Carter, Roston Chase, Miguel Cummins, Shane Dowrich, Keon Harding, Jason Holder, Aaron Jones, Shayne Moseley, Ashley Nurse, Kemar Roach, Jomel Warrican.

Management Unit: Wendell Coppin (manager), Emmerson Trotman (head coach), Vasbert Drakes (assistant coach), Dr. Jacqueline King (physiotherapist), Alicia Thompson (masseur), Alexander Forde (strength & conditioning trainer), Jamar Layne (analyst).
