Holder is trying his best but has to stand up for the best team being picked for the World Cup and not only the ones who do whatever the Board wants them to do. If not, they would be giving a good man a basket to fetch water at the World Cup
in 1978 Clive Lloyd took most of the good West Indies players to play in the Packer World Series for more Money and were banned. But with the 1979 World Cup coming up and West Indies the defending Champs, all the best players were selected and we won back-to-world cup and the entire Caribbean and Guyanese population celebrated and when Murray and Roberts were batting in the Semi-Finals, cars stopped, work stopped and even Parliament stopped, and when we won the entire thing, West Indians forgot about their daily stress and worries and were a happy people despite the hardships in their everyday life.
That’s what Cricket did for West Indians in the 1970 & 80s. But this Board does not understand those things since they don't care how the fans feel or how the players are treated or about cricket.
All they care about is the status and the commercial aspects of the sport so that they will never do that. Two weeks after the President said how much money they had they were begging Sri Lanka the help pay for THEIR home series. The Board was paid for sending a team to the Canada dry league and I understand the members of the B team have not been fully paid as yet
