Afghanistan international Hamid Hassan's home has been targeted by a grenade attack, according to the country's governing body.
Hassan, who has played 32 one-day internationals and 22 T20 internationals for Afghanistan, is said to be unhurt following the incident, which took place on Monday night.
In a statement, the Afghanistan Cricket Board claimed that the bomb assault was not an act of terrorism but "a criminal offence".
Hassan's family, they claimed, had been threatened with violence by a group demanding money over the course of recent weeks.

The attack, in which hand grenades were used, is reported to have damaged the property in Jalalabad.
ACB condemned the attack and called for action from the authorities to identify the perpetrators.
"The cricket board shows sympathy with Hameed Hasan's family and wants security forces of Afghanistan to (find the) attacker and submit (them) to the law enforcement process," part of the statement read.
Hassan's last international appearance came in July 2016, against Ireland in Belfast.
