The West Indies will be appointing a new bowling coach former Barbados fast bowler Roderick Estwick has been the West Indies' bowling coach since May 2016 when he replaced Curtly Ambrose, who had served as a consultant.
While not wanting to name the coach, President of Cricket West Indies Dave Cameron says with the team having struggled recently in New Zealand, the change will be made official before the March 4-25 World Cup qualifying tournament.
“We are bringing in a different bowling coach and we will also solidify the batting. I’m not sure I’m at liberty to disclose the name of the coach but he’s not from the region. I believe that if we have good bowlers, then whatever we get to make our batting will take care of that. RJR Sports understands that the new bowling coach is a former South African bowler

Estwick, who replaced the legendary Curtly Ambrose in 2016, is expected to be replaced by a foreign bowling coach and his role will either go to Ian Harvey out of Australia or Alfonso Thomas out of South Africa. The two are the leading contenders for the job and a decision on who wins out will be made later this week. Head coach, the Australian Stuart Law remains in his position. Englishman Toby Radford will remain in his role as assistant coach to Law.
The source also revealed that the next fast bowling coach either Thomas or Harvey will also be working with the West Indies Under-19 team and A teams
