If West Indies concede this match, they will have to return home with nothing to show
for their stay in New Zealand
Happy New Year, Folks !

It may just be arbitrary - an illusion of time even - but a new year can have a remarkable effect.
Ask cricket West Indies.
They ushered in 2017 with their trophy cabinet bursting at the seams.
Then they were booted out of an ICC tournament.
They will have to play fringe teams in international cricket to qualify for the next World Cup
And, on the basis of their performance on Friday, even their often infallible T20 game needs work.

So the Bay Oval better prepare itself.
It'll be hosting
a hurt world-champion side looking for revenge.
The only people that would be feeling worse than Stuart Law, Roddy Estwick, Toby Radford
Jason Holder and Carlos Brathwaite
would be those who end up as
designated drivers tonight being old years night

what happen..the rain fall ?????
save by whatever from 100% ignominy. the Kiwi were 104 in 9 overs...dat was a huge total building up there..and a ridiculous cWI collopso in response.
when not even a bowler like Badree makes a diff you know its how the team feels about itself...and that wud have everything to do with its leader. I wud bet good money that the team does not like Carlos and is not really playing fuh him

Tremendous hitting well done Munro, such a shame about the rain.

good hitting but honestly, the bowling and fielding in those first 5 overs can only be described as shocking...and thats being polite.

The mayhem began when West Indies' most efficient bowler Samuel Badree
struggled to grip the wet ball in the Powerplay, and conceded four boundaries to Munro in two overs.
Colin Munro assault against Carlos Brathwaite and Kesrick Williams was like a volcano blowing its lid.
He crunched the West Indies captain for four boundaries in four balls
before subjecting Williams to the same treatment.
